A Member-at-Large (MAL) is any member of the Newman community who is generally always around Newman to help in whatever capacity needed. Anyone can become a MAL by simply showing up to a number of committee meetings and by having a helpful spirit. Additionally, some MALs are attached to committees that need some extra help occasionally.

Becoming a Member-at-Large is a good way to get involved at Newman if you are unsure that you can commit a substantial amount of time, or if you don't know what committee you could join to best serve the Newman community. MALs are essential to Newman Council's reaching beyond its own ranks and into the community at large.
